The scariest thing happened to me yesterday.
I was going home yesterday evening.
Was waiting to cross the road at the traffic light.
Then I noticed this short malay boy,
Wearing what looked like xinmin sec uniform (couldn't see the logo),
Panting at the roadside.
Then when I was crossing the road,
He was following me and also crossed the road.
At my house downstairs,
He suddenly asked me,
"Do you live her?" and he pointed to my block.
I told him yes.
Then he said he also lives here.
Then he asked me whether I'm from bowen.
Then I told him no, i'm from AJC.
(As I recount this, I'm thinking about how dumb i really was... argh.)
Then in the lift,
I pressed 6,
And he said he also lives on the same floor.
That's when my suspicion finally kicked in.
Cos I know there's only one malay family on my floor,
And that's my neighbour right next to my house.
So he can't be living on the 6th floor!!!
And guess what,
My suspicion was confirmed when he said to me:
"You are so pretty, hot and sexy."
WHAT THE F**K????
Thank goodness the lift was already on my floor.
And he followed me out.
And all I told him was "stop following me",
Then I walked right to my doorstep.
Of course, he did not obey me,
And followed me to my doorstep,
Standing outside my house as I shouted for my mum
Who was unfortunately all the way in the kitchen.
When that f**king boy realised my mum coming out to rescue me,
He sprinted off.
AM I IMBECILE OR WHAT???
NOT ONLY DID I TALK TO A STRANGER
WHO WAS PROBABLY A PERVO, PSYCHO OR GOING TO DO SOMETHING TO HURT ME.
I ALSO SHOWED HIM WHERE MY HOUSE IS!!!
My mum is right.
I probably fried my brain from all the studying.
I should not have talked to him in the first place,
And waited at the lift until he go away
Rather than lead him to my house.
BUT THEN,
WHO WILL SUSPECT A KID????
ESPECIALLY ME, A CHILDREN LOVER????
HE HAS TOTALLY BETRAYED MY TRUST IN CHILDREN!!!
HOW CAN A LITTLE KID BE SO SICK??????????????
But what I'm really worried about now is that this matter won't just end here,
And maybe this little boy is associated to adults.
I dunno.
I'm scared and worried for myself, my family, and my loved ones.
I was so heavily guarded today.
I got my mum's approval to let james accompany me to school
Cos she said she want me to get a guy friend to go to school with me.
James waited for me at the lift and was watching my back the whole of today.
Even he got all paranoid.
So everyone,
Please keep a lookout for a short (approx 1.5m?) malay boy
Who wears xinmin sec uniform
And probably a sec1 or 2 cos he's wearing shorts
And the uniform looks too baggy for him.
I'm even suspecting he's probably not even from the school.
Anyway,
He carries a black backpack kind of schoolbag,
And may do the panting trick to get sympathy of people like me.
PLEASE DON'T END UP LIKE ME.
Or maybe it's just me, too gullible, especially with kids.
Anyone wanna volunteer to be my bodyguard in school when james is not with me?
Haha.
I'm still suffering from the aftershock...

Teacher's Conference ushering!!!!!!!!!
Today is one of the best day in my whole life!!!
Went to do ushering at the teacher's conference at suntec convention centre.
Woke up at 5.45am,
Anfd my darling came to pick me up at 6.10am.
My 1st response was to rush over and hug him.
^^
Then we walked to hougang mrt.
And he insisted i go buy breakfast,
So we got me a honey chicken pao.
Met nicky at the mrt station,
And we took the mrt together to dhoby ghaut,
Then esplanade.
Met a group of ushers on the circle line.
Darling sent me to suntec then took mrt back to school for lesson,
And me and nicky went to room 314 where we had bread and left our bags in the room.
Went to the ballroom for our first duty of the day.
I was door usher for ballroom door 3,
And it wasn't very eventful.
Just told people we could not open the door yet cos we were not ready,
Then later open the door and smile at people as they go in.
Our first tea break of the day:
The blackforest cake is so yummy!
I had 2 pieces...
Super nice!
And the siew mai, har kao, and crystal bao were also yummy.
:p
But I had stomachache and went to shit.
Lol.
Then we went to room 210 for preparation of the distribution of collateral.
Though it was a simple activity of putting the things on the chairs,
But I found it quite fun.
:)
Around 11am,
7 of us went outside the ballrooom to usher them back in.
They had this really cool xylophone thing that this guy was walking around with and hitting,
Informing people to go back into the ballroom.
Then the 8 of us went into the ballroom and waited for our duty of holding mikes for the participants to use later.
The participants had a kinda dialogue session with the speaker Dr. Linda,
And this is where the best thing happened.
I was holding on to one of the mikes,
And this interpreter for a hearing-impaired woman signalled to me.
I think this woman is some important person,
But I won't know since I'm not a teacher.
The problem was that the chairperson said there was only time for one last question,
And she already spotted someone else on the other side of the room.
I think she really wanted to ask her question very badly,
And the people sitting in front of her probably knew her,
Because they called me over and told me to ask the chairperson to let the woman ask her question.
I went to the front of the stage and sqauatted right there in front of the stage,
Trying to get the chairperson's attention.
And she told me there was no more time.
When I went back to those ladies,
They passed me a post it and told me to pass it to the chairperson,
I ddin't read what was written there.
Once again,
I squatted in front of the stage and tried to get the chairperson's attention.
She got me to pass her the post it,
So I went onto the stage to pass it to her.
When I went back to them,
They were thanking me.
Then the guy sitting next to the hearing-impaired woman said thanks to me and gave me a thumbs-up.
After which, he tore off a piece from his foolscap and wrote this:
You did a great job!" with a smiley face and gave it to me.
I AM SO HAPPY!!!
:D
I was so glad the woman got to ask her question.
And believe it or not,
Though she can't hear,
She spoke on her own to 2000plus people,
With her interpreters signalling to her whether she could be heard.
I was so touched.
I could not stop smiling.
Lol.
Btw, both the guy and the woman are caucasians.
Lol, random.
We had lunch after this.
And I met my sec2 PW teacher,
Miss Rosaline Chan in the secretariat room.
I talked to her.
Lol.
So coincidental sia.
Between duck and fish,
I chose the packet with fish for lunch.
The fish was sweet and sour, quite nice.
The 7 of us had a long break till 2.45pm,
So 4 of us girls (Mika, Vasu, Jun Ying and Me)
Went to the 2nd floor foyer outside the ballroom and had a fun time doing crafts.
Cos there were many booths set up there,
So we decided to try things out on our own.
So I did two heart-shaped clips,
And took 3 erasers with cute faces.
At around 2.30pm was another tea break.
There was chicken karage, forest mushroom and some breads.
Yummy!
At 2.45pm,
We reported for briefing.
I was at room 204 for the registration of the concurrent sessions.
Room 204 provided something about history done by greendale sec students and teachers,
Who were all very friendly and nice.
At 4,
We went back to room 210 for debrief,
And room 314 to collect our belongings.
Though a tiring day,
But very satisfying and happy.
James darling came and fetch me,
Then we went shop shop and home.
End of a eventful day.
Today is a 4 stars day!!!

minister!!!!!
The big day was today!!!
I totally freaked out!
My left eyelid was twitching continuously even before the minister came.
Then it continued twitching till after he left.
My eye felt so uncomfortable throughout the whole thing.
And I was so nervous till I could not smile.
My face felt so tight... I kinda forgot how to smile.
Lol.
But this experience was a great one!
I shook the minister's hand a total of 3 times.
The 1st time was when I just went onstage to start the dialogue session.
The 2nd time was after the dialogue session.
The 3rd time was during the tea session that some of us alpha students had with him.
Haha.
My 1st time ever... :D
I'm happy today.
Whether anot I did a good job, it doesn't matter.
All that matters is that I enjoyed the experience.
Thank you.

love is mutual trust between you and me.
Why am I suddenly so melancholic?
Because I realised how fragile love is.
Especially when there isn't any mutual trust.
Thank goodness,
Despite how paranoid I am,
There exist mutual trust between J and I.
I know that he will never betray me (he don't dare ><),
And he knows that I cannot live without him.
I'm not worried about letting him go out with groups of girls and guys
(Though I'll be jealous XD),
Because I understand him.
And he's not worried about letting me talk to guys
(Though he'll also be jealous...),
Because he knows that I love only him.
Love involves 2 parties: You and the person you love.
Don't let him/her give you everything,
And you just enjoying yourself without giving anything in return.
Don't let love get one-sided.
For those facing this problem,
Talk to him/her.
Be open about your opinions.
Only through talking openly about what you like/dislike,
Then understanding will be possible.
The reason why J and I quarrel lots:
Because we are very open with our opinions,
Especially me.
Our opinions tend to clash a lot.
But it is through all these quarelling
That we gain a deeper understanding of each other,
And emerge as a more loving couple.
It's precisely because we are willing to tell each other anything and everything,
That we are still together today,
And will be together forever.
The strictest principle we impose upon ourselves from the day we got together
Is that we will tell each other everything
No matter how it will hurt or upset,
And hide no secrets from each other.
And we have succeeded!
And for those of you who still don't dare to say
"I love you" to the person you truly love,
Just say it.
Don't live with the regret of not daring to face your feelings.
Because, at the end of the day,
You will feel better knowing you have tried,
Then to know that you didn't dare to try.
<3

Singapore's 45th!!!
Today was a great day!!
:D
James and I met at 11am,
Then we took bus 147 from my house to clarke quay,
Where he had omelette rice for lunch.
Then we walk walk,
And walked past sweet smelling sweet shop,
Looked at cute rabbits, hamsters and chinchillas,
Went to a fully packed stationery shop,
And he bought a little memo pad and card holder for me.
I wasn't allowed to object to him buying the things,
As was shown by the "no objection" on the card holder.
And it says "i love you so much" on the memo pad.
:)))
Then we took a long and hot walk to the asian civilisation museum.
We saw all the army, civil defence and police vehicles!!
Then we went into the museum to wait for everyone else to come.
3pm: Got our security passes, briefing, then went to the padang.
DOS people (Nickson, Kang Wei, Dianne, Lena, Sufancia, James, me) and Mel with her 3 friends
Were doing CIP for community chest,
By passing down donation boxes at the ndp for ppl to donate.
Although it was very hot and tiring, it was very fun!!
And the excitement there was so great!
We only got to watch the parade until 5.45pm,
But it was still worth it.
How I wished I could stay..
So HIGH!!
Very unforgettable today.

Is money important?
My stand:
Money is important today,
As it is the means through which we "communicate" in the buying and selling of things.
Without money,
Trading cannot happen,
We can't buy what we want,
And blah blah blah.
But the point is,
Is money important in life?
Can we live without money?
I believe, yes.
Even without money,
Human was initially born to know how to survive,
Through hunting for our necessities.
And no money was involved back then.
Though times have changed,
But human beings will still have this instinct in them to fight for what they want
As it is inherent in human's competitive nature.
I can say that money is an evil.
Can money buy us happiness?
Can it buy us understanding and communication with our loved ones?
Yes, it is true that in the world today,
You are not anything much without money.
You will be poor, looked down upon,
Suffer from poverty, starve to death...
BUT, even when you are a millionaire,
Do you have anything at all?
Do you have love, happiness...
And all those fundamental and positive emotions that human live for?
Or even, moral values?
An example will be those useless and selfish children fighting for their parents'm inheritance.
Money has blinded us, and has even made something as close as kinship
A forgotten identity.
If being rich is going to make me
Unhappy,
Lonely,
Ignorant,
Helpless,
Materialistic...
I'll rather stay poor my whole life.
At least, being a poor kid has taught me a lot.
It will be better if we slow down our pace of live,
And spend time to look at those things and people we have ignored.
What's the point of slogging your guts out for money,
When you are missing all the beautiful sights,
Especially those that you can't buy with money.
Shallow or not?
